Come into the pool for some Aqua Aerobics!

My friend, Lily Danker is over 70 years old.  Not to boast about the ripe "young" age, however her enthusiasm and energy in daily activities is something, I, as a friend am proud of.  Lily walks with a straight back and at a speed of most people in their 30s.
I came to know that Lily, besides volunteering at a nursing home guiding exercises to residents, she also does weekly Aqua Aerobics at Toa Payoh Swimming Complex.
As an encouragement to everyone to join in some kind of water sports, I had compiled a short Q&A between Lily and I:


Q) How long have you engaged in this activity?
A) 10 to 11 years
Q) How did you come to know about this sport?
A) Through one of my friends.
Q) What has motivated you to keep continuing this exercise?
A) I love water sports even though I am not a good swimmer.
Q) How has it help you in your lifestyle? (eg: in your health, socially, etc..)
A) To keep fit. Aqua Aerobics is a form of cardio exercise.  I also meet people of different walks of life.
Q) How would you encourage people who are afraid to come into the pool to try this exercise?
A) Inform the instructor that it's their first time, and voice out any apprehension.  So, the instructor can pay attention and guide them along.

So, I hope some of us are more motivated now to do some aqua workout!
